New lawn and turf laying in and around Den Bosch

A lawn that has not been looked after properly for a few years fills up with moss and weeds and gets bare patches. After building work, or once a hedge or tree has been taken out, there is often a bare strip left as well. That is when you can start over, with a new lawn of turf.

Having turf laid

A new lawn starts with the old grass. I dig out the old turf and haul it away, together with the weeds and other garden waste. Then I level the ground and lay the new turf.

Hauling away old turf is also something I do as a job on its own. Thijs van Gils had his old turf hauled away through Werkspot. His review was a single word: “Perfect”.

A new lawn after removing a tree or hedge

When I take out a tree, a hedge or a row of conifers, a bare patch is left behind. I grind out the stump to below ground level, so the spot is ready for grass. The new lawn can then be part of the same job.

Looking after a new lawn

Once the new lawn is down, you want to keep it in shape. With garden maintenance I mow the grass and trim the edges, as a one-off or on a regular monthly or seasonal schedule. If the whole garden needs work, I bring it back into shape in one go and include the lawn.

Rather not mow at all?

If you never want to mow again, artificial grass is an option. I lay it on a firm, level base with good drainage, and it stays green all year.

What does a new lawn cost?

That depends on the number of square metres, how much old grass and weeds have to come out first and how easy the garden is to reach. Send a photo of your garden on WhatsApp, with a rough idea of the square metres, and you will get a fair price.
